No recovery of any firearm/weapon has been effected from the applicant. No site plan of the alleged presence of the applicant at the scene of the crime had been filed on record. It was next argued that none of the witnesses in their evidence had stated about the applicant being involved in the murder of IB Officer Shri Ankit Sharma. It was emphasized that PW Gyanender Kumar Kochar and Vikalp Kochar have given very minute details about the murder of Shri Ankit Sharma, but they have not named the applicant therein. On the other hand, Special PP for the State argued that the Body of Ankit Sharma was recovered from Khajuri Khas nala near Chand Bagh pulia. In the FIR, complainant Ravinder Kumar had stated that he had a strong suspicion that his son Ankit Sharma had been killed by main accused Tahir Hussain and his goons, who had gathered in his office and after killing his son, his body was thrown into the nala from the masjid.Further, during the course of the investigation, on inspection of the building of main accused Tahir Hussain, i.e E-7, Khajuri Khas, main Karawal Nagar road, Delhi and the adjoining area, a lot of debris, stones, bricks, broken bottles, some glass bottles with liquid, bullets and burnt articles were found lying scattered on the main Karawal Nagar road. The building of main accused Tahir Hussain had been used by rioters/miscreants/other persons (including the applicant) for brick pelting, stone pelting, the pelting of petrol bombs and acid bombs. A lot of stones, bricks, glass bottles containing petrol with neck stuffed with clothes and other material including catapults were found lying on the third floor and on roof top of the main accused Tahir Hussain’s house. It was also argued that a curious analysis of the two statements of PW Akash dated 11.03.2020 and 09.04.2020 recorded in the matter clearly and unerringly established that the applicant was part of the riotous mob which had indulged in arsoning, looting and torching of public and private property and on the instigation of main accused Tahir Hussain, the said mob had committed the murder of IB Officer Ankit Sharma. It was also contended that his CDR location clearly established that on 25.02.2020 he was present at or around Chand Bagh puliya from 05.00 PM till 6.35 PM.Court’s ViewsThe Court observed that it was apparent on record from the statements of several witnesses that the applicant (Sameer Khan) and other similarly placed persons had been instigated on communal lines by main accused Tahir Hussain, as a consequence whereof they were lying charged to attack all and sundry from the other community. The Court also took into account the fact that it was clearly apparent that the CDR location of the mobile phone, allegedly being used by the applicant was at or around the scene of occurrence on the date of the incident. The Court found substance in the arguments of learned Special PP that there was enough material on record at this stage which clearly identifies the applicant to be part of “riotous mob” which had indulged in arsoning, looting and vandalizing public and private property; chanting communal slogans and attacking the persons of other community. The Court also observed,”It is part of the record that several persons were injured by suffering gunshot injuries, namely Ajay Goswami, Ajay Jha and Prince Bansal; whereas, IB Officer Ankit Sharma lost his life. PW Akash has categorically identified the applicant to be part of the riotous mob that had brutally murdered IB Officer Ankit Sharma.”Considering the facts and circumstances of the case in totality, the Court did not find it to be a fit case for grant of bail. The bail application accordingly stood dismissed.Notably, while noting that, “It is prima facie apparent that he used his muscle power and political clout to act as a kingpin in planning, instigating and fanning the flames of communal conflagration”, the Karkardooma Court (Delhi) on Thursday (22nd October) dismissed the bail application of former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and a prime accused in cases related to the February Northeast Delhi riots.Click Here To Download Order[Read Order]Next Story

Los Altos High School’s football team has responded well to adversity, thus far. The Conquerors bounced back from their defeat to Damien High two weeks ago with a rout over Warren High last week. Arroyo (4-0) at Nogales (2-2), 7 p.m. Arroyo High just continues to win. The Knights got by El Rancho High, 26-21, in a difficult road game last week. Arroyo QB Dominic Salmon ranks among the area’s top passers, but he’s also contributed with some key plays on defense. Nogales won its first two games before suffering losses to Mt. Baldy League teams in the past two weeks. Bottom line: It’s obvious this year’s team isn’t quite to the level of last year’s 12-1 juggernaut. But the Knights appear to be improving each week and remain very savvy. Arroyo will extend its regular season win streak to 21 tonight while prepping for two major Mission Valley League tests coming in the following weeks. Montebello (1-3) at Rowland (3-1), 7 p.m. Rowland High saw its undefeated season get spoiled last week in a loss to Don Lugo High. The Raiders are hoping to get back on track tonight before San Antonio League play begins next week. Montebello made a stirring rally last week at Wilson High, but lost to the Wildcats. Bottom line: This is a good spot for Rowland to get some swagger back. The Raiders simply need to stop Oilers QB Rene Cerda, and they’ll do it. Expect the Raiders running game to eat clock all night. The pick: Rowland. Mountain View (0-4) at Baldwin Park (3-1), 7 p.m. The Braves have a chance to exceed their season win total from last year tonight and Valle Vista League play hasn’t even started yet. Baldwin Park High’s community can thank new coach James Heggins for that, and Heggins can thank star tailback Aaron Harris. Harris currently leads the area in rushing and has scored five touchdowns in each of the Braves’ last two games. Mountain View (38.7 ppg. allowed) hasn’t stopped anybody in its first four games. Bottom line: Harris will run wild for as long as Heggins allows. The junior can add to his already impressive season tonight and the Braves will enter league play next Friday full of confidence at 4-1. The pick: Baldwin Park. Duarte (3-1, 1-0) vs. Workman (0-4-1, 0-1), at La Puente HS, 7 p.m. Workman High gave defending Montview League champion Gladstone High a scare last week in a 14-12 loss. The Lobos are hoping to do the same this week to No. 1-contender Duarte High. The Falcons haven’t disappointed this season as their star-studded roster of skill players and defensive backs have put up the points on offense while keeping them off on defense. Duarte took a major step toward the league title with a rout of Azusa last week. Bottom line: Lost in the shuffle of highly recruited Falcon seniors Corey Fluker and Le’one Fortunati is the quietly productive season of sophomore tailback Chris Harris. Harris ranks among the area’s top rushers and he should have a good shot at doing some more damage tonight. The picks: Duarte. Los Altos is averaging 35 points per game, thanks to junior quarterback Matt Castaneda and the receiver duo of Chappelle Brown and Rex Foss. The defense hasn’t played bad in its three wins, but a 42-point outburst Damien had against the Conquerors won’t easily be forgotten. Bottom line: Los Altos’ offense is one of the best, if not the best, in the area. But the Conquerors will experience similar results to last season if the defense doesn’t improve. Western doesn’t have enough to stay with the Conquerors. The pick: Los Altos.
4 July 2014 With more than 50 000 fans on course and millions worldwide watching South Africa’s Vodacom Durban July on Saturday, the biggest winner will be the KwaZulu-Natal economy, which is set to receive massive exposure along with a cash injection of around R425-million. The 118-year-old event has become enshrined as a national sporting icon and is recognised worldwide as Africa’s greatest horseracing event. Attendance has been sold out for the last five years, but in recent times there has been marked shift in the support base for the event.Visitors to KwaZulu-Natal “The July”, as it is known, has become hugely popular with socialites from Gauteng province, who for the last two years have made up more than 50 percent of the crowd at Greyville Racecourse for the race day, compared to the 2012 Durban July where the Gauteng contingent made up just over 20 percent of the visitors to the event. The effect on the regional economy is a massive surge in spend on airfares, transport, accommodation and hospitality in the greater Durban area over the entire weekend. Significantly, data from Durban July fans surveyed showed a marked trend towards using the trip to the race day as the basis for a longer stay in the province, with 25 percent of the out-of-province visitors spending three nights in KwaZulu-Natal, seven percent holidaying for four nights, and 17 percent spending five nights or more in the region over the Durban July weekend. With each out-of-province visitor spending an average R5 296 on travel, accommodation and entertainment, the regional hospitality industry banked R133 750 000 from the Durban July last year.Pre-race day record Ticket sales have reached a pre-race day record for this year’s event, with another sell-out event assured, meaning the province’s regional economy can look forward to an even bigger windfall this weekend. Betting accounts for over R200-million, with around R100-million being wagered on the totes nationally, and bookmakers turning over a comparable figure from their customers. Wagers on the R3.5-million Durban July race normally account for about half of that betting spend. Hot on the heels of another successful Top Gear festival, and with surfing fans taking in the Mr Price Pro in Ballito, the region’s reliance on key sporting events has been clearly underscored.‘Rewarding’ Ndabo Khoza, the CEO of Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, said in a statement on Thursday: “It is always rewarding to see the influx of tourists for the Vodacom Durban July, and this year we will again welcome tens of thousands of people to the city and province, and I believe that a number of accommodation facilities are already fully booked. “Events such as these form the cornerstone of our strategy to drive tourists into the province, and Durban is fast becoming entrenched as the events capital of South Africa,” Khoza said. “But more than that, it also provides an ideal platform for us to host the international tourism trade. “This year, we are bringing travel agents from surrounding SADC regions to experience our province and the Vodacom Durban July, so that they are able to return to their countries and promote KwaZulu-Natal as an ideal holiday destination. This is further enhanced with the direct flights from Harare and Lusaka, straight into Durban, and we look forward to more routes being added in the future.” Andrew Layman, chief executive of the Durban Chamber of Commerce, feels that the region should build on a strategy that uses key sporting and social events to attract visitors throughout the year.‘Mammoth significance’ “The Vodacom Durban July is an event of such mammoth significance that it stands head and shoulders above other events, particularly as it draws so many high-profile political, business and social personalities from Gauteng,” Layman said, “but in the broader scheme of things, all these events tend to hang together as contributing towards, and benefiting from, momentum. “Events, especially, if they carry high status, exploit people’s willingness to spend and, in the case of the Vodacom Durban July, their desire to be seen in places that raise their levels of public exposure,” Layman said. “The Vodacom Durban July is no longer just a premier horse race. It is the nucleus of a social event which includes a variety of associated functions and gatherings, all of which, in some way, have significant economic spin-off. The opportunities presented for the fashion industry are prime examples of this.” SAinfo reporter

Pocket 4K vs. Pocket 6K? This article discusses the relevancy of both — as well as the price points and specs related to each.Prices are rapidly dropping, panic is running amok, and conspiracies are rife. No, it’s not the next recession; it’s the Pocket 4K community growing frantic over the imminent arrival of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. The camera has drawn a lot of excitement and an equal measure of unease. Many Pocket 4K users are wondering if they should upgrade, or if they’ve been cheated out of their 4K investment. While I can’t speak for the entirety of the Pocket 4K community, I do want to evaluate some of the concerns about the Pocket 4K now that the new model has seemingly replaced it (which it hasn’t).(Note: this is not a critique of the Pocket 6K. The specs alone are mind-boggling.)Don’t Undervalue the Pocket 4K’s Resale PriceLook, we’re not going to tell you what to do with your equipment—or how to sell it—but don’t devalue the camera just to get a quick sale. As Grant Petty said in last week’s live-demonstration, there have been a few setbacks with the electrical’s market, which has meant a delay in getting these cameras to retailers. Therefore, you have to consider that the Pocket 4K isn’t readily available to everyone. B&H continually dip in and out of stock, it feels like my UK retailer has never been in stock, and as a result, the camera is still in demand on the aftermarket. And until Blackmagic stops producing this camera, the Pocket 4K is far from obsolete.Looking at recent eBay sales, the Pocket 4K has sold at $150 above the current RRP. However, in the camera’s social media groups, many are offloading this camera for as low as $750. Of course, there are various factors that justify a discounted price—hours used, cosmetic wear, missing original accessories, and so on. But still, so early into the life cycle of the model, there’s no real reason to undercut yourself when stores themselves can’t even fulfill orders.Data and Battery LifeRecently I published a YouTube video titled How Much Does the BMPCC4K Actually Cost? The video breaks down the various factors that contribute to the overall cost of the camera. The 6K model is undoubtedly going to increase the price point, with expanded data storage and power options. At the highest constant bit rate encoding option—3:1—the Pocket 4K clocks in with a storage rate of 135 MB/s. The Pocket 6K, however, will be bringing in 3:1 footage at a colossal 323 MB/s. Roughly, you’re looking at just under 19GB a minute. That 256GB CFast 2.0 card you have suddenly only stores fourteen minutes of footage when shooting at a max constant bit rate. However, I would imagine that with such high resolution, even shooting at 12:1 6K would still bring in favorable shots. And this reels in at 81 MB/s, which would give you sixty-five minutes with 6K recording. Therefore, you have to acknowledge that, along with an extra $1000 for the new camera, you’re more than likely going to be buying more recording media, and more offline storage.(Side note, there are currently no SSD cards on the market that can capture 6K 50fps, as retailer CVP points out in the following video.)One thing does concern me, that’s the 50p data rate. So, if my math is correct, using Blackmagic’s data on the website, 6K 3:1 at 50fps would be 538 MB/s, and QO (their variable bit rate option) could go as high as 805 MB/s a second. Currently, you won’t be able to record that. The fastest CFast 2.0 on the market taps out at around 500 MB/s. And while using the USB-C 3.1 port, you can connect an SSD that can reach 800 MB/s, the Pocket 6K uses a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, which taps out at 625 MB/s.Likewise, if there was one constant issue that appeared in every review and every discussion video when the Pocket 4K first came out, it was the abysmal battery life. Since the release, we have had a firmware update, which increases the longevity of a single LP-E6 battery by fifteen to twenty minutes. However, with the new build, we’re back down to a forty to forty-five minute run time for a single LP-E6. Meaning (and I recommend not using LP-E6s anyway) that you’re going to have to grab a few more to err on the side of caution. How Important Is the “Full Frame” Factor?I would argue that the super 35mm sensor is more of a selling point for this camera than either the EF mount or the 6K resolution. Blackmagic’s Super 35mm (-ish) sensor is closer to 35mm film than the 4K’s MFT sensor; therefore, similar visual attributes, such as focal lengths, will be the same as 35mm film. The issue with crop factor is that for cinema, Super 35mm is a standard. Whereas for stills, which bleed into digital video, full-frame is the standard, and anything smaller yields a crop factor. Meaning a 50mm on one camera may capture images at a focal length equivalent to 67mm on a full-frame sensor. As the photo and video world has seemingly blended into one another and borrowed terms, sometimes principles fall into a gray area of confusion. As with the Pocket 6K, you have a 1.558 crop factor. But again, that’s in comparison to a full-frame stills sensor, when in regards to Super 35mm film, there isn’t a crop factor. That said, many do factor the crop factor as a detriment, and would prefer to be shooting as close to full-frame as possible. If that’s something you want to do, then although the Pocket 4K has a crop factor of 1.89, with the newly released Metabones Speed Booster specifically engineered for the BMPCC4K, you can reduce the crop factor to 1.43 with the Ultra 0.71x model — or with the XL 0.64x version, you can decrease the crop factor even further to 1.29. Therefore, if you want to capture as much of the frame as possible, the Pocket 4K and Metabones Speed Booster combo provide a better option. There are, of course, many benefits to the 6K model. We can’t speak to all of them just yet, as we’ve yet to review the camera, the 6K resolution, the increased FPS, the anamorphic mode, the EF mount, and so on. But these new features don’t suddenly make the Pocket 4K model obsolete. You’re still getting 4K RAW for $1250—or $1000, if you remove the Resolve Studio license—and that, in itself, is crazy when just a decade ago 4K for $4K seemed like a dream.Cover image via Blackmagic.Looking for more articles on film and video gear? Southampton boss Hasenhuttl: Pochettino fantastic for Tottenhamby Paul Vegasa month agoSend to a friendShare the loveSouthampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is full of praise for Tottenham counterpart Mauricio Pochettino.Pochettino left the St Mary’s side to join Spurs back in 2014 and guided them to the Champions League final last season.Hasenhuttl said: “Last year he wasn’t allowed to sit on the bench which is maybe the reason why we could take the three points.“It was an unbelievable game from us. I didn’t know how we could end up winning this game because in the first half they should have been four goals up.“If you want to take points against such a team then you need to have a nearly perfect performance and even then, you are not sure.“I think he has done a fantastic job in Tottenham and took them from being a struggling team to Champions League finalists. It’s unbelievable the job he does there.“We don’t look too much on them because I think it’s important for us to concentrate on the qualities that we have.“We know that it’s a big challenge, but we like these challenges.“ About the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your say
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Detroit Lions’ Ndamukong Suh was on the losing side of an $100,000 appeal that he filed challenging the charge he received for blocking below the belt.Roosevelt Barnes, one of Suh’s agents, told the Associated Press he was notified Friday of the arbitrator’s decision. The Washington Post reported:“Suh was fined for a sixth time in his four-year career on Sept. 10, two days after making an illegal block on Vikings center John Sullivan. He apologized to Sullivan, and to teammates for negating an interception return for a touchdown in Detroit’s season-opening win.”Barnes played video of the tackle, frame by frame, in order to prove his client’s defense.“We’re disappointed that Ndamukong was fined at all and that it wasn’t reduced,” Barnes told The AP in a telephone interview Friday. “It is clear from the film, when you slow it down frame by frame, that Ndamukong was clearly in front of the player and that his head and shoulder, when he started off blocking him, were above the player’s waist. But because Ndamukong left his feet, he was going to hit the ground and was going to get tangled on the lower part of the player’s body.”Suh has officially become the first football player in history to receive a fine of $100,000 and has been fined six times, suspended for two games for a total of $342,794.
OSU coach Urban Meyer removes his headset on the sideline during The Game Nov. 30 at Michigan Stadium. OSU won, 42-41.Credit: Ritika Shah / Asst. photo editorOhio State football coach Urban Meyer was less than pleased when he took to the podium at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center following the completion of yet another spring practice. The eighth practice — the midpoint of the spring season for OSU — was one Meyer categorized as “Bad Day Tuesday.”“It was a bad day. And what is today — Tuesday? Bad Day Tuesday,” Meyer said. “Gotta make sure there’s not Bad Day Thursday.”On top of the poor practice effort, the injury bug bit the Buckeyes again, as senior tight end Jeff Heuerman underwent surgery Monday to repair what Meyer called a “sprain” in his foot.Meyer, who expects Heuerman back in June, said he is not too worried about the senior’s injury.“Jeff’s going to be fine. I think it’s probably right with the normal number of injuries,” Meyer said, referring to the team as a whole despite the injuries. With Heuerman out, Meyer said he is still confident in the remaining tight ends left on the roster, despite a less than stellar practice.“(Redshirt-junior) Nick Vannett’s done very well and one of our most improved players,” Meyer said. “And (redshirt-freshman) Marcus Baugh actually has had some good days, today not being one of them.”The loss of Heuerman for the remainder of the spring is just another hit to a Buckeye team that has already lost senior quarterback Braxton Miller, sophomore safety Vonn Bell and sophomore H-back Jalin Marshall to injury. The loss of Marshall however, is the one that hurts the most, Meyer said.“Jalin’s the one. Because he was really making a move and he got hurt,” Meyer said. “He was making a move…”With Miller out, redshirt-sophomore Cardale Jones had been receiving the bulk of the first team reps in spring practice and had been progressing well until Tuesday, Meyer said.“Cardale was bad today. And when I say bad, real bad,” Meyer said. “But to the point coming up till today, he was one of our most improved players on our team. It’s spring ball. You’re going to have a bad day. We gotta get that out before next fall, but he’s clearly the No. 2.”One positive of practice Tuesday was what Meyer had to say about junior linebacker Joshua Perry, who is looking to fill the shoes of departed First Team All-Big Ten and All American performer Ryan Shazier.“Josh Perry’s turned into an Ohio State linebacker … about. He’s not there yet,” Meyer said.An area of concern for Buckeye coaches and fans has been the lack of experience on the offensive line, as OSU lost four of five starters up front to graduation following the 2013-14 season. Junior offensive lineman Taylor Decker, the lone remaining starter, will be looked to as a leader on the team next season Meyer said, but he also took a step back on Tuesday.“Taylor was part of the bad day syndrome. But up to that point, very impressed with what he’s done,” Meyer said. “Leadership, toughness and doing all the things that previous group did, but today was not a good day.”With less than two weeks left of spring practice — which concludes with the Spring Game April 12 at Ohio Stadium — Meyer said his team cannot afford another poor practice. The Buckeyes are scheduled to start the 2014 campaign when they take on Navy Aug. 30 at noon at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Shocking news arrived this evening as Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone an emergency surgery as he has had problems with a brain haemorrhage and he is currently in the hospital recovering from it.The Manchester United legend retired back in 2013 after he had been in charge of the club for 27 years straight and he won numerous trophies including Premier League, Champions League or FA Cup – however, now he has had health struggles and everyone hopes that he will recover as soon as possible. His former club confirmed this information, according to ESPN:Maguire says United need to build on today’s win George Patchias – September 14, 2019 Harry Maguire wants his United teammates to build on the victory over Leicester City.During the summer, Harry Maguire was referred to as the ultimate…“Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to aid his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter. Everyone at Manchester United sends our very best wishes.”Sir Alex Ferguson’s former player, Michael Carrick, also tweeted to support his former gaffer:“Absolutely devastated to hear about Sir Alex being unwell in hospital. All my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong joked with the idea of possibly getting Lionel Messi’s number ’10’ jersey at Barcelona when he arrived next summer. The biggest news in Spanish football for the last couple of days has been Frenkie de Jongs transfer to FC Barcelona, a deal that was completed last Wednesday and will have the Dutchman playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi. The Argentine forward was reportedly crazy for getting the Ajax midfielder signed, which is something that motivated De Jong for making his final decision. The player is set to start his new journey at FC Barcelona next summer, he will finish the current season at Ajax in all competitions and then report to the manager on July 1st.During an interview with De Telegraaf, Frenkie opened up about the number he could use at the Catalan club and joked with the idea of possibly taking it away from Lionel Messi. But all kidding aside, the player revealed that he still hasn’t decided which number he will sport for the rest of his career at Barcelona and he is possibly waiting for any changes that happen by the end of the season. The Spanish giants are expected to get rid of at least one of the big players in the squad, the money right now is on Brazilian Philipe Coutinho who hasn’t lived up to the hype since he arrived from Liverpool.De Jong: “I want number 10, but I think someone already has it.”#EnjoyDeJong pic.twitter.com/3LRqsgsEz9— Penya FCB de Beirut (@PenyaFCBBeirut) January 24, 2019Another option for FC Barcelona is to sell Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who has come a long way since he arrived in the club from Sevilla and possibly has already fulfilled a cycle as he approaches the final stages of his career. As we all know, Ivan Rakitic sports the number ‘4’ jersey, a traditional number at FC Barcelona that have worn historic players like Ronald Koeman or Pep Guardiola. It would be only fitting for Frenkie to follow in those footsteps once Ivan Rakitic decides to call it quits, this scenario is more plausible than the jokes De Jong made in regards to taking Lionel Messi’s number ’10’.Because as we all know by now, the Argentine will wear this jersey until the day he decides to retire. Hopefully for all football fans, that day won’t come any time soon. But that number ‘4’ jersey does seem like the most likely path for the Dutch midfielder, he fits the position and has what it takes to become the next great FC Barcelona player.Match Preview: Barcelona vs Valencia Boro Tanchev – September 14, 2019 Is derby time in La Liga, as Barcelona welcomes Valencia to the Camp Nou Stadium tonight at 21:00 (CET).But even Ivan Rakitic’s exit from the club is not a sure thing, mainly because manager Ernesto Valverde has repeatedly said that the Croatian midfielder is a key player in his squad.Esto es Frenkie de Jong… 😍#FrenkieFuturo pic.twitter.com/L8qGei6Bp5— AFC Ajax (@AFCAjax) January 23, 2019Frenkie de Joong has been talking to several news outlets during these past two days, but the very first interview he offered was to Dutch outlet De Telegraaf because they were the ones with the inside information and the very first outlet that spoke about the specifics of De Jong’s transfer from Ajax to Barcelona. The player granted an interview where he discussed several topics, but the subject of the number he will wear was specifically addressed.“No, there is still no number on that jersey. That will come later. Yes, I would obviously love wearing the number ’10’ jersey but I think someone is already playing with it at Camp Nou,” he laughed.“Lionel Messi, I think.
