first_imgSymQuest,Larry Sudbay, President and CEO of SymQuest® Group, the region’s leading provider of network and document technology solutions and services, is pleased to announce there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, January 10, at 8:00 am at the SymQuest Service Center, 30 Community Drive. The ceremony is to celebrate the opening of the new 2,800 sf expansion that will house SymQuest’s Network Operations Center (NOC).The NOC is the control center for SymQuest’s 25 top-level engineers who monitor, manage and remediate issues for close to two-thousand servers, workstations and other devices under their care. The newly renovated, secure space will provide enough room for another 12 engineers.SymQuest is experiencing growth throughout the organization. They are currently interviewing to fill 8 open positions at their South Burlington location and anticipate adding 65 positions within the next three years across their territory, which extends from the Adirondacks to the coast of Maine.SymQuest’s Network Managed Services division has been growing exponentially. Using the latest server and networking technologies is a must for companies today, however, maintaining the knowledge to work on these technologies is prohibitively expensive for most small and medium sized businesses. As companies’ networks, security and compliance needs continue to outpace the abilities of their in-house personnel, they are turning to experts like SymQuest to manage their networks.SymQuest’s NOC actively monitors their clients networks and can respond to and remediate issues often before the client has any idea there was a problem. Common errors, such as missed backups or hard drives that are reaching maximum capacity can be remediated with a simple phone call to the client. Other error codes are responded to without any action on the client’s part. The NOC Engineers remotely monitor servers, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, tape drives and storage devices. They monitor spam, virus and malware filters to keep these devices protected from threats and running smoothly.A major differentiator between SymQuest and other companies in the networking business is SymQuest’s commitment to, and requirement for, continuous training to keep their engineers and technicians ahead of the technology curve. SymQuest leverages their partnerships with Cisco, Citrix, VMWare, eCopy, Microsoft, Dell Equilogic and others to stay abreast of changes so that their engineers understand the new technologies prior to their rollout.‘Our commitment to providing the highest level networking services is reflected in the enormous growth we’re seeing in this sector of our company. We’re pleased to be expanding our Network Operations Center to keep up with the growth. Providing high-level jobs in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire and Maine is a win-win for us and the economies of these states,’ said Sudbay. The SymQuest Group, Inc. maximizes the potential of technology in the business place, and offers networking and document management solutions with:â ¢ Computer-network design and installationâ ¢ Network support and performance monitoringâ ¢ Kyocera and Canon copier sales, service, and suppliesâ ¢ Kyocera and Hewlett Packard printer sales, services and suppliesâ ¢ Digital document storage and retrievalFor more than a decade, SymQuest Group, Inc., headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont, (with additional offices located in Rutland, Vermont; Keene and West Lebanon, New Hampshire; Plattsburgh, New York; and Portland, Maine) has upheld its reputation as an affordable and accessible network infrastructure and document solutions technology services company; working extensively with small businesses, as well as larger enterprises.
