Redesign of the Website of the Tahiti Tourism Service

first_imgThe Tahiti Tourism Department, responsible for designing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the tourism strategy, has just launched its new website. The redesign of the website of the tourism service offers simplified access to information for all Polynesians including tourism professionals. The purpose of the new website is to promote the development of tourism in French Polynesia. The aim of the redesign of the website of the tourism serviceAs part of the dynamic development and modernization of public services in French Polynesia, the tourism department has committed to overhaul its website. This site makes it possible to present the service of tourism and all the missions which are attached to it to the public. It also seeks to meet the needs of professionals, individuals and tourists alike by providing useful or complementary information. In terms of ergonomics and functionality, this modern website offers attractive and fun content that simplifies research.A modern and dynamic websiteThe site is organized around 6 distinct menus: a description and a detailed presentation of the service; a collection of texts and legal sources according to the type of activities; a follow-up of the 2015-2020 tourism development strategy; a one-stop shop for professionals; a directory for individuals of tourism businesses; a tab dedicated to news and calls for tenders.Cooler graphics revive the website. With a more pleasant approach, with recent photographs, it also presents a refined typography and a new color panel that recalls the colors of the sails arranged in front of each tourist site of Tahiti and its islands, and the lagoon of French Polynesia. We can also find new spaces such as multicriteria research of tourist sites, accommodations and tourist activities that allow a simple, fast and functional navigation. In the era of new technologies, the tourism service has adapted its website to various media such as computers, tablets and mobile phones.
